Mus and Nick’s Glazed Beef Bonanza with Spiced Potatoes

Mus and Nick’s Glazed Beef Bonanza with Spiced Potatoes is a fantastic dish to enjoy with friends over a glass of your favourite wine!

Spiced Potatoes

Ingredients:

VEG646: 1 kg/2 lb of floury potatoes

CRE011: 150 ml/5 fl oz thick cream

Step 3:

Use some of the butter to grease a 1.7 L/3 pt ovenproof dish.

Turn the potato mixture into the dish.

Spread the mixture evenly.

Pour over the hot milk and the cream and dot the remaining butter over the top.

Bake the dish in the oven for about 1 hour, until the surface is crisp and golden brown and the potatoes feel tender when pierced with a skewer.

Serve immediately by placing the ovenproof dish directly on the table, bearing in mind its very hot!

Preparation time approximately 20 minutes

Cooking time approximately 18 – 30 minutes depending on preference

Serves 6

Ingredients:

1.1  – 1.4 kg/2 ½ – 3 lb fillet of beef stripped of all fat

SPI343: Freshly ground black pepper

For The Soy Marinade

SAU174: 75 ml/3 fl oz soy sauce

OIL066: 45 ml/3 tbls olive oil

45 ml/3 tbls dry sherry

VEG606: 2 garlic cloves finely chopped

For The Garnish

VEG019: Lemon slices, halved

Spoon the marinade over the meat on all sides then leave the fillet to marinade for at least 4 hours, preferably not in the refrigerator. If using the refrigerator to marinade, remove the fillet to allow it to come to room temperature 2 hours before roasting.

Heat the oven to 220C/gas 7.
